Release Tension from Head to Toe

In today's world, it seems everyone is tense. Chronic tension in the body can lead to a myriad of injuries and pain conditions. Physical tension can also increase anxiety and exhaustion. Pain and anxiety lead to more tension, and our health goes in a downward spiral.

Join me for a relaxing and rejuvenating 30-minute self-massage to alleviate tension, and get us back on track to better health. We'll release our muscles from head to toe, focusing on all the areas that tend to store the most tension.

Practice this self-massage regularly to train your body and mind to relax, improving your quality of life. Do the whole 30 minutes, or pick your favorite techniques for busy days.

These are a few of my favorite things
Part 1: Mental Health

My clients often ask me for various recommendations, so I wanted to share some of the things that help, inspire, educate, and calm me - especially now, when rates of depression and anxiety have skyrocketed. I hope you'll find these helpful as well!

And stay tuned for Part 2: Physical Health!

Mental Health Books:

This book offered clarity and insight into my daily routines, my purpose in life, and completely altered the way I look at adversity.

Why Zebras Don't Get Ulcers
I think this is the best book on stress. It describes the effects of stress on our bodies and minds, offers excellent advice, and entertains with a healthy dose of humor.

The Happiness Project
This book is delightful and motivating. The author had an epiphany and decided to do a year-long happiness project. Drawing from research, popular culture, and age-old wisdom, she experimented to see if she could increase her happiness. She made some interesting discoveries along the way!

Inspirational quotes:

"I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes. Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You're doing things you've never done before, and more importantly, you're doing something." - Neil Gaiman

"Peace. It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart." - Unknown

"Anything that's human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable. When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary." - Fred Rogers

TED Talks:

In praise of slowness
If you're like many, you're running around and working frantically to get as much done as possible as quickly as possible. The western world prides itself on such speedy productivity. But at what cost?

Rethinking anxiety: Learning to face fear
