Free gift cards for my subscribers!

"What?" I hear you ask, "You must be crazy!" I am, but I'm still giving away free gift cards. When you buy a massage gift card, you will get a second gift card at equal value. Let me reiterate. If you purchase, say, a 90-minute massage gift card, I will give you an additional gift card worth $170! Now you've got awesome gifts for both Mom AND Dad, or both your siblings or children or coworkers ... you get the idea.

Why massage gift cards? You know that friend/family member/colleague who you've been thinking really needs a massage? Why not give them a not-so-subtle hint with a massage gift card? How to lighten your mood

Many of us are affected by the lack of sunlight in winter: longer nights and cloudy days. With dark skies and cold weather, we often end up feeling sad, tired, irritable, or even depressed. In this 5-minute video, learn how to quickly and easily reduce stress, brighten your mood, and feel like yourself again.

You can also beat the winter blues by adding some light back into your life! Here are some suggestions:

  • Get outside during the day while it's light. Perhaps take a walk during your lunch break to soak up some vitamin D.
  • Stay warm and energized by adjusting your diet to take in more heat-producing foods, like protein and complex carbohydrates. Hot vegetable soup is also excellent on a cold day.
  • Stay active. Exercise gives you an endorphin boost and reduces stress.
  • Get massage frequently! Research shows that massage therapy improves your mood, boosts your immune function, and promotes relaxation.
  • Spend time with friends and family members who support you and make you feel good.
  • Get creative. Break the daily rut by trying something new. Perhaps join a book club, take a dance class, or get some watercolors and paint. You can even try changing your look - buy some new clothes or change your hairstyle.

What's new with me ...

Home life was a bit stressful last week when Con Ed invaded the building to do repair work. They slowly tore apart our kitchen, but thankfully now it's been put back together. With Thanksgiving around the corner, it reminds me to be thankful for my kitchen, my apartment, my extraordinary family, my work, my wonderful clients, my friends, and yes, even Con Ed.

I also have tremendous gratitude for my readers - that means you! Thank you for allowing me to help you take better care of yourself. If any of you have learned something new, developed healthier habits, or just feel better as a result of my articles and videos, then I couldn't be happier and I am extremely grateful to you for inviting me to join you on your journey towards a healthier lifestyle. I wish you a very happy Thanksgiving!

Of course, here's what I'm most thankful for.
