Take a Break Before You Break!

If you aren't taking breaks, you might be running yourself into the ground. I'm not talking about a Caribbean vacation or a day at the spa. I'm talking about a few minutes, several times throughout your day.

We're all super busy these days, and it's easy to neglect ourselves. Many people say that they have no time for breaks. I'm here to tell you that you don't have time to NOT take breaks. If you're going going all the time, you inevitably wear yourself down physically, mentally, and emotionally. This might mean extreme fatigue, job burnout, back pain, a cold, headaches, depression, memory loss, accidents, or disconnection to loved ones.

But research tells us that taking only a few minutes to move, clear your mind, and relax can restore your energy, boost your mood, and even enhance your performance and productivity! That means accomplishing more when taking time for yourself. Mini-breaks also reduce stress, boost energy, and improve overall wellbeing.

Set an alarm for every 30-minutes to an hour to remind you to stretch, socialize, hydrate, take a walk, get a snack, practice meditation, or whatever makes you happy. If you love massage, which I assume you do since you're reading this, try this awesome, 5-minute self-massage break that I created to quickly relax and revitalize busy people like us!
